More information about live captioning

Live captioning is a very complicated exercise. To achieve this, the stenographer must identify the speaker, hear well, understand the meaning of what is being said, analyze the grammar at the speed of enunciation and capture it with the stenography method. This is why the quality of the service depends on the working conditions.

A good display requires quality acoustics, if possible a sound feedback for the stenographer, and a calm working environment. It also requires to send to the stenographer a list of the names and first names of the participants as well as all the working documents in order to enter the specific terms  pertaining to the subject into her database beforehand and to become familiar with them.

We always carry out this service in pairs:

1. a stenographer who types and ensures the posting;

2. a proofreader who corrects live.

If the session is long, a second stenographer is added to this team to allow breaks. The price of the service remains the same.
